Haringey Council has launched an ambitious home building programme that is delivering the first new council homes in a generation, with as many as possible built on existing council-owned land.

Over the next decade, we aim to complete over 3,000 new quality homes and Haringey Council are working with partners to create local construction jobs for local people.

There are many routes of entry to construction, construction industry is constantly evolving and with it brings a diverse and skilled workforce.

Haringey Works provides free employment and skills support exclusively for Haringey residents. Whatever stage you are at in your career, Haringey Works’ Construction specialist advisors can support you to reach your goals.

Register online with Haringey Works or use our contact form for registration support. You will need to provide us with identification, right to work documentation as well as a proof of address.

After you register, we will set up an initial consultation with you to discuss your employment e.g., apprenticeship, training, entry level work or experienced roles.

Harnessing local opportunities for residents


Haringey Council, Job Centre Plus, The College of Haringey, Enfield and North East London and developers working in the borough have come together to form the Haringey Construction Partnership.

The partnership’s aim is to ensure you, our local residents, can benefit from the job and training opportunities created as a result of the physical development taking place in the borough, both in the wider construction industry and end-user jobs once completed.
